The very center of your heart is where life begins – the most beautiful place on Earth – Rumi.
Join Steph Zavala & Alicia Rudolph for a week of asana, meditation, restoration and exploration, all while basking in the sanctuary of one of the most unbelievable places on our planet, Peru. Classes will primarily focus on Muladhara (the root) and Anahata (the heart) chakras.
Daily practices are suitable for all levels and will be devoted to embracing nature and harnessing our spirit.
Steph’s approach to asana practice is dynamic and exploratory. You can count on the sequencing to develop to a peak pose, and it is always inspired by a theme, chakra, lyrics to a song, a piece of literature, art, seasonal changes, current happenings, and the list goes on. After all, the practice of yoga can be applied everywhere! She loves to learn from her students and from other instructors and is excited to see what this retreat teaches her too!.
Alicia believes in the power of alignment to create a strong, stable asana practice that integrates full body awareness in each pose, while encouraging students to find what they need (not what they think the expectation might be). Thematically she relies on the breath to guide the practice in the present moment, and then draws from a variety of sources including books, lived experience, and current events. Alicia loves practicing whenever she’s traveling to learn from other teachers and get a sense of what local yoga communities are focusing on and to find fun new ways to approach asana.
“Very little grows on jagged rock, be grounded, be crumbled so wildflowers will come up where you are.” — Rumi

If you were to reveal your truth, your heart, what would it show? What does it feel like to live in an authentic way? Through practice, we have the invitation to pull back the curtain.
In the middle of a majestic natural environment, surrounded by mountains and ancient culture, grows Samadhi, our retreat centre – which means a union with the divine. Designed with sacred geometry, Samadhi will submerge you in the universe of “los Chakras”, walking through the Kundalini and wrapping you in its spaces, colors, textures, flavors and art adapted for the energy central, to know and explore your essence. Samadhi is a fully-equipped retreat centre with areas dedicated to meditation and art, a multifunction room, a yoga deck with a dazzling view of the sacred valley, and an organic garden where you can learn about the qualities of plants that are native to the area, and around the Andes Mountains.
