One belief is that the pyramids were built to collect energy from the higher realms of the stars, the planets and the universe and deliver it down to earth. With the higher point representing the realms of consciousness and the bottom of the pyramid representing the earthly foundation that provides solid grounding-this wide base creates perfect balance.
Join Tonya as we explore the mystery of ancient Egypt and use the power of the pyramids as a guide to help ground and balance our energies through yoga, meditation and breathwork. Different shapes hold different energies, and these energies can influence us in subtle and profound ways. We will delve deeper into our yoga practice by connecting with the breath through intentional movement designed to unblock these energy channels and help us move toward our own sense of balance, on the mat and in the world. Leave Egypt a better version of you.
The rest of the time we explore the energy of the bustling city of Cairo, its pyramids and bazaars (great for shoppers), before flying to Luxor to set sail on a 4 day cruise down the Nile. We will make stops at select ports along the way, where we will enjoy great food, great company and end with a cultural presentation by a local Nubian village.

Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza’s colossal Pyramids and Great Sphinx as well as Luxor’s hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings tombs. The capital, Cairo, is home to Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities.
